Green Learning Center

Working locally to green our neighborhood is of the highest priority.  Through the Green Learning Center we seek to create a space that enables us to teach and train youth and adults how to incorporate being green into their lives, both in their daily practices and the work they do.

The Green Learning Center will be a center from which teaching and training will be conducted for all ages.  All practices used to transform the land will be sustainable and take into consideration local native plants as much as possible.

Small Waterfall

The waterfall we will soon build with your help!

The main idea is to create a space that will have an area that is peaceful and meditative, another that is particularly interesting for children, another that provides shelter for outdoor classes, one that is set up for urban organic agriculture and the cultivation of mushrooms, and yet another that provides a water feature with a waterfall linked to a pond, a fountain and permeable patio.  The garden will also incorporate solar energy, solar cooking, composting, green roofs, living walls, and a water wheel to generate energy.

ChildrenWatering          Soon, these will be "our" children!

DONATE HERE to help our plants, children and community grow!
